Design Assignment

Rijnstate, a hospital in Arnhem, is facing a future challenge related to the increasing demand and complexity of care due to factors such as an aging population and a decrease in healthcare staff due to attrition and a decline in new entrants. Addressing this issue in healthcare may require an integrated approach that combines societal, economic, and policy aspects. This could involve developing new care models, investing in technological innovations, and rethinking health policies, all with the engagement of various stakeholders within the healthcare system and the broader community.

Goal

The development of a detailed design for a digital interface with physical interactions for use in hospitals, supported by conceptual visualizations, prototypes, and scenarios.

Training

Through four different learning steps, healthcare professionals will learn about the labor-saving technologies used at Rijnstate. A digital representation of the technology allows healthcare professionals to learn indefinitely and master the technology.

InforMaatje (Voice Assistant)

With InforMaatje, an integrated voice assistant, healthcare professionals can continue their training without having to constantly check their tablet or mobile device.
